Welcome to LLYC Summer 2010! It is our desire to provide your family a truly exceptional experience upon your arrival to camp.
Entry into the camps begins at 11:30 a.m. At this time, you may drive directly to the appropriate camp (Singing Hills or Echo Valley) to check-in your camper. If you have campers in both camps, it is your choice which camp you would like to visit first.
Many families have found it more relaxing to arrive sometime after the initial 11:30 a.m. rush, so if you can talk your kids into waiting a bit, more power to you! Our registration window is 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and at that time, camp is really “on” for campers. At 2:00 p.m., we encourage parents to give their kids some final hugs and leave your kids to us!
If you are new to LLYC, we hope you are ready for the coolest drive ever into camp. Yes, you will drive in the river! If you are going to Singing Hills, take a left in the river. If you are going to Echo Valley, take a right in the river. The water is only three inches deep, but we do ask you to drive slowly.
Our staff will direct you to parking areas and will assist you with trunks and luggage. We will have plenty of can drinks, bottled water, and mini chicken sandwiches and hamburgers ready for you.
We encourage you to get to know your child’s counselors and directors. If there is anything we should know about your camper, please let us know so we can make this experience the “best two weeks of their life.”
And of course, we know parents miss their kids too, so we will be posting photos daily just so you can catch a glimpse of your child having fun!
