Dinner time fun at Singing Hills

This entry was posted on Aug 05, 2011, by Bonner Ercums and is filed under Camp Fun, The Beat @ LLYC

Singing Hills likes to have themed dinners. They don’t ever go with the session theme per se, but they’re still really fun!

A few days ago they had an Italian theme dinner showcasing spaghetti and garlic bread as the main course. The men dawned eyeliner mustaches and the ladies perfected their accents for the occasion. The tables were decorated with grapes and crisp, white (plastic) table clothes. The kids had a lot of fun as they sipped grape Kool-Aid out of fancy glasses (also plastic…naturally). Keep those pinkies out, kids!

A mustache fit for Italy!

Such a proper young man!

More recently they had a Christmas themed dinner. (There’s been a lot of Christmas around here lately… Can’t say I have an explanation for that except, “Welcome to LLYC!”) Christmas dinner was full out! Walking into the ranch house the first thing I saw was a giant Christmas tree. This thing was so big I’m really not even sure how they got it through the door! For the dinner we had a traditional Christmas meal – pork roast, green beans, mashed potatoes, and chocolate mint brownies to finish it off! Yummy!

The Christmas tree in the middle of the room.

Santa and Mrs. Claus even made an appearance!
