This five-day training results in a certification valid for one year (with an extension option for those able to log 50 facilitation hours during the year). Successful candidates will be certified to facilitate all High Ropes elements in the Canyon.

If you attend this training, you will enjoy getting to experience the Canyon with a small, tight-knit group of people from all three camps (EV, SH, & HW) and participate in many team-building exercises before all of the remaining staff arrives. You will be paid to attend this training and, additionally, will receive $30 extra per week for facilitating.

This training is the only training that transfers outside of the Canyon as well! So, if you participate in our Red Cross certified lifeguard training, you will also be certified to lifeguard in community pools, etc.  If these training days conflict with your schedule, but you are still interested in becoming a lifeguard, we will pay for you to take a certification course in a location and at a time that is more convenient for you. Lifeguards will be paid $30 extra per week for facilitating throughout the summer.
