Camp Activities

Laity Lodge Youth Camp offers an array of activities in order to reach all camper groups. Two structured activity periods are scheduled each camping day. On the opening day of camp, campers are given the opportunity to choose activities in which they would like to participate. They remain in those activities throughout the first week before choosing a second week of activities at the session midpoint.

Activities at LLYC have proven to be an incredible time of intense fun and solid relationship building. Physical and emotional safety are our top priorities. As in everything we do, our staff focuses on building trust and relationships with campers in order to introduce them to Jesus Christ.

Shooting Sports

The shooting sports activities include archery and riflery. From long bows to compound bows and from .22s to black powder muzzle loading rifles, Shooting Sports will blow you away.

Field Sports

Taking advantage of our beautiful setting, we offer a multitude of field sports. We place special emphasis on a healthy balance of teaching skills and having fun. Some of our field sports are: Ultimate Frisbee, Softball, Soccer, Basketball, Football, Lacrosse, Softball, Disc Golf, Tennis, and Volleyball.

Mountain Biking

LLYC is nestled in the rocky and rolling terrain of the Frio Canyon. Our setting is ideal for mountain biking, offering challenging rides for all skill levels and age groups.

Water Sports

The spring-fed Frio River provides an excellent venue for our many water-related activities. Our Water Sports activities include: Canoeing, Snorkeling, Swimming, Rock Slide, Water Zip Line, Water Slide, The Blob, and our premier swimming spot, Blue Hole.

Arts and Crafts

Creativity is fostered in our arts and crafts program. Our staff encourages campers to express themselves in many different media. Among those activities are: Pottery, Tee-Shirt Painting, Leather Crafting, and Jewelry Making.

Adventure Recreation

Lofty cliffs and rugged terrain offers the ideal setting for adventure recreation. Our Adventure Recreation is designed to move campers out of their comfort zones and lead them into areas of trust, excitement, and accomplishment. Our instructors go through rigorous training to insure the utmost safety for the campers in our care. Included in our Adventure Recreation are: Alpine Tower, Ropes Course, Rappelling, Backpacking, Goliath, Zip Line, Rock Climbing, Orienteering, and Spelunking.
