Day in the Life of a Camper

Note: This is a skeleton of a day. There tend to be no two days that are exactly the same. We strive to be unpredictable and spontaneous, but the schedule below gives you our starting point.

Singing Hills

9:00 a.m. Flag Raising/Breakfast
Before breakfast, campers gather at the flagpole and answer trivia questions. Based on the trivia/games, they are released to get in line for breakfast.
9:45 a.m. Morning Time
Boys and girls split for morning devotional and quiet time.
10:15 a.m. Morning Time
Entire camp gathers for a skit and theme presentation
11:00 a.m. 1st Activity
(Campers sign up for 2 activities per week at the beginning of each week.)
11:50 a.m. Cantina
Healthy snack time, usually fruit
12:10 p.m. 2nd Activity
1:00 p.m Lunch
2:00 p.m. Rest Time
3:00 p.m. Free Time
3:45 p.m. Swim Time
4:45 p.m. Cantina
Yummy ice cream or popsicles . . . something not healthy
5:00 p.m. Cabin Activity
Cabin counselors plan a fun activity for the entire cabin (e.g., go to Rockslide, hiking, etc.).
6:00 p.m. Group Games
Camp comes together for fun and unusual games (e.g., Four-way Dodge Ball)
7:00 p.m. Dinner
After dinner, kids have time to clean up and enjoy the camp at dusk.
8:30 p.m. Cantina
Juice boxes . . . sometimes sodas
8:45 p.m. Roundup
Camp gathers to sing songs, watch skits, and just let loose. There is also a biblically centered message.
9:45 p.m. Cabin Time
After Roundup, there is time for cabins to get together and talk about what they heard during Roundup.
10:45 p.m. Occasional Late-Night Activities
Occasionally (okay, pretty often), we have a late-night activity. Could be a dance, movie, or even night-time Capture-the-Flag.

Echo Valley

9:00 a.m. Breakfast

10:30 a.m. Boys and girls split for morning devotional and quiet time
Camp gathers together briefly then breaks into cabin units. This is a great way to begin by presenting the spiritual theme for the day.
11:00 a.m. 1st Activity
(Campers sign up for 2 activities per week at the beginning of each week.)
11:50 a.m. Sugar Shack
Campers have free time to enjoy snacks at our camp store.
12:10pm 2nd Activity
1:00 p.m Lunch
2:00 p.m. Rest Time
3:00 p.m. Group Games

4:00 p.m. Free Time & Swim Time
