We are excited about the possibility of your joining us in serving Christ through ministering to kids at Laity Lodge Youth Camp. LLYC offers excellent opportunities to Christ-followers who possess creative leadership abilities, recreational skills, and enthusiasm for working with young people. In order to be eligible for this opportunity, we need a few things from you.
The application process consists of three steps:
Step 1: Online Application
We need you to complete the appropriate online application. Give us as much information about yourself as possible. Answer all questions prayerfully and thoughtfully. Please note that our software allows you to “save” your application to work on it later. When you are ready to send it to us, make sure you click on the “submit” button and receive a “submitted” confirmation. Your application must be “submitted” (not just saved) for us to consider you.
Part of your online application involves obtaining two references. This will be done electronically when you submit your application.

We have three applications for employment. Please complete the one that applies to you:
- Complete the above application if you have never been on paid staff at LLYC.
- Complete the above application if you have held a paid staff position with LLYC in the past. (If you have been on crew, but not held a paid staff position, please fill out the “New Staff” application.)
- Complete the above application if you are in your junior year of high school and are interested in our crew program.
Step 2: Interview
After you have submitted your application, we will contact you to schedule an interview. The majority of these interviews will occur in person on your campus or in your hometown. However, phone interviews will also be conducted when necessary. You will be contacted to schedule an interview between November, 2012 and March, 2013. Check out the 2013 Recruiting Schedule (TBA) for an approximate time that we will be in your area. You don’t need to contact us to set this up . . . we will contact you one to two weeks before we are in your area.
Steps 1 and 2 must be completed by November 4, 2012 for Crew and Monday, January 21st, 2013 for other staff positions. You may apply after this date for positions on a space-available basis. Following the interview, reference checks, the criminal background check, and prayerful reflection, a final decision will be made and conveyed by letter prior to Christmas for Crew and by the end of March for all other staff positions. Please note: If you are interested in applying for Central Leadership staff, we will begin making our decisions by November 15, 2012.
Step 3: Employment Documents and Other Information
After an offer of employment is made, there are several more steps required before your hire is complete.
All of the steps are fully explained on your Applicant Account Page. When all forms are submitted and steps completed, you are hired!
