Suggested Highway Routes To Laity Lodge Youth Camp

From San Antonio (Approximately 2-1/2 hours travel time):

• Northwest via Interstate 10
  Take Interstate 10 west and go 18 miles past Kerrville
  Take EXIT 490 (Hwy. 41, Mountain Home, Rocksprings)
  Turn left on Hwy. 41–go to the intersection with Hwy. 83 (about 25 miles)
  Turn left on Hwy. 83–go south about 15 miles to the H. E. Butt Foundation entrance (on left).
• Southwest via Highway 90
  Take Hwy. 90 west through Hondo to Sabinal
  Follow signs to Garner State Park via Hwy. 187, 127, and 83,
  through Leakey and 12 miles north of Leakey on Hwy. 83 to the Foundation Camp sign (on right) marking the camp entrance, 1/2 mile north of the roadside picnic area.

From Austin (Approximately 3-1/2 hours travel time):

• Take Hwy. 290 through Johnson City to Fredericksburg
  Turn left in Fredericksburg at Hwy. 16 south toward Kerrville
  At Kerrville, take Interstate 10 west 18 miles to EXIT 490
  Turn left on Hwy. 41–go to the intersection with Hwy. 83 (about 25 miles)
  Turn left on Hwy. 83–go south about 15 miles to the H. E. Butt Foundation entrance (on left).

At the H. E. Butt Foundation Camp sign:

Enter, drive slowly on the narrow unpaved road for about one mile to the river.

Stop at the Camp Office for further information if necessary.
