Singing Hills Camp Activities

Singing Hills activities. By its nature, saying that Singing Hills is active is the ultimate understatement. All day, every day, camp life borders on total chaos. However, all the activity is structured in a way to maximize our spectacular property and our staff’s creativity.

A typical camp day incorporates two one-hour, structured activity periods. Campers can choose to engage in our traditional activities, including adventure recreation (rappelling, climbing, and various zip line elements), wilderness, riflery, archery, water sports, arts and crafts, field sports, mountain biking, and fishing. And for those campers not necessarily interested in traditional activities, we stretch our creativity to offer a variety of nontraditional activities such as pirate sports, redneck sports, G.I. Joe sports, and others, as the creativity and demand determines.

Once a week, campers are given the opportunity to participate in Wacky Activities, which is really a pseudonym for a healthy dose of outrageous fun. Counselors band together to create such activities as Man Sports, Spa Sports, Sugar Shack Sports, Buzzard Hunting Sports, Stealth Sports, Random Acts of Kindness Sports, and on and on.

In addition, counselors lead campers through daily cabin activities. Each cabin comes together to participate in a group activity specifically tailored for them, utilizing all of our property and equipment.

Laity Lodge Youth Camp focuses intensely on doing activities at the highest level possible to enhance the relationship between the counselors and campers. High adventure and fun are tools we use to break down walls with campers so they can get a clear view of Christ.
