As you know, a key piece of planning for this summer is around COVID protocols. Our COVID Task Force meets regularly to review our plans amid the shifting COVID landscape and directives from authoritative bodies including the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), which licenses all youth camps.

This summer at LLYC will look a little different—from our daily schedule to our activities and policies. Do not fear. The heart of camp will stay the same!

The Latest:

July 26, 2021 — Following guidance from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), the updates listed below will go into effect on Closing Day of Session Four:

  1. All parents are asked to wear masks when entering their child’s cabin on Opening and Closing Days.
  2. Masks will not be required when outdoors.
  3. No more than 3 families in a cabin at one time.
  4. All activity will be outside, including pick up of campers on Closing Day and food service lines on Opening and Closing Day: Echo Valley food service on the Ranch House porch; Singing Hills on the porches of the courtyard.
  5. We will be adding an additional arrival time on Opening Day to increase the efficiency of our registration process.
  6. We will continue requiring proof of vaccination or negative COVID test results within 3 days of Opening Day.
  7. We will continue daily health monitoring of campers and staff.
