What I love most about camp is the unity that meals bring. I’ve never been a big cook and I’ve definitely never read a cookbook, but a friend of mine recently handed me this book (recently back in print) and said, “Do you like food? Because this is hilarious.”
And it is. As I read this lovely culinary reflection, I could not help but smile on every page.
This book is written by a pastor, chef, and author who will make you laugh (not so much ha-ha, but a thoughtful chuckle), ponder ideas both deep and simple and appreciate the variety God has given our eyes and palates. This book is a rare find and a real gem.
