It’s amazing that a group of people with the same deep love for a place can all come together and feel like family within an hour! Alums spanning generations gathered in Dallas last Thursday for one spectacular evening. Sonny Davis and his wife Emily (Williams) Davis were on staff in the early 2000’s. Recent transplants to Dallas, they attended and only knew Chandler. But that’s the beauty of having worked at Laity Lodge Youth Camp. Everyone has a different story and experience with the place, but at the end of the day, we all come together (and keep coming together long after we work there) because of something sweet the Lord has done in that Canyon. Maybe it was 10 years ago, maybe it was 30. But we are changed. And it’s always good to feel at home again with people who feel like home.
